I am a diplomat and third-generation Washington lawyer who has lived and worked around the world, including in South Korea, Indonesia, Australia, Vietnam, Laos, and the Balkans. My wife is Japanese, and our children are dual-passport holders. In short, I know first-hand the challenges global families face when planning for the future — and I created this practice to help address them.

After 25 years in diplomatic service, I founded Embassy Row Trusts & Estates to help diplomats, international organization personnel, and other globally mobile professionals in developing estate plans, providing for loved ones, and leaving a lasting legacy.

I studied law at Duke University and am licensed to practice in both Washington, D.C., and Maryland.
